BIO
Lafayette Cruise is an urban planner and futurist. His practice leverages the radical imagination and world-building capabilities of speculative fiction and the multidisciplinary, strategic implementation tools of urban planning in order to imagine, plan and build a more just, liberating and sustainable future.
During his residency, he will be exploring alternative futures driven by the technologies that make up the CoLab’s investment thesis, and product multimedia works of fiction that paint a world that explores the relationship between young people and technology.
We’re especially excited to work with Lafayette on design as a liberatory practice, and co-creative these works alongside young creatives to understand the tools they imagine needing in their preferred futures.
